Healthy, vibrant communities are great places to live and do business. Understanding a community's vision is, for us, an integral part of the planning process when undertaking a major project. Collaboration and cooperation are key elements of the Terasen commitment to doing business in a responsible and respectful manner.
We listen and learn
We believe in staying connected to the people and communities we serve. The Terasen Community Relations team is focused on working with the unique needs and strengths of your community. We do that by meeting, listening, talking and working together. Our managers are available to meet with:
- Local government
- First Nations
- Chambers of commerce
- Community groups
Our employees invest in communities, too
Terasen employees are committed to bettering the lives of those in the communities where they live and work.
Our Community Giving Programs support the interests of Terasen employees within their local communities. In 2008, employees are participating in three major community projects that will also benefit from individual corporate contributions of $30,000 each, including:
- Community Living, Victoria
- Habitat for Humanity, Kelowna
- Holland Park, Surrey
Our Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation supports the health and well being of the communities in which Terasen Gas employees live and work. Since its founding in 1994, close to $450,000 has been donated by Terasen employees to charitable organizations throughout BC.
